Home Visits

Melissa's Mutt Hutt offers daily visits if you need to go out of town. A Mutt Hutter will come to your home and care for your pet while you are away. We will follow your pet care routine per your instructions, including feeding, watering, exercising and playing with your pet! A standard visit is a full 45-60 minutes in length. Visits without an overnight pet sit can only be done for birds, cats and fish, and generally require 1-2 visits per day.

Dog Walking (private and semi-private walks only)

Whether you are trying to house train a puppy, have an energetic adult dog, or an elderly dog that needs frequent breaks, your dog will benefit from our mid-day dog walks. This service is also convenient if you work long hours or have late meetings. If you hate the idea of your dog being home alone for 8 or 10 hours, hiring a dog walker is an excellent option. We provide 45, 60 and 90-minute neighborhood and park walks, and 2.5 hour Canyon hikes and Beach runs. Included is pick up and drop off with travel time for special walks. Discounts are available for multiple daily walks and additional dogs in the same household. All walkers are bonded and insured. All walks are either private or semi-private. Semi-private walks have no more than 3 dogs in the group.

At the end of any of your dog’s experiences (daycare, walking, grooming) you will receive a note letting you know what your dog did while you where gone - whether he met any friends, what bath time was like, who he played with or what kind of trouble he might have got into.

Holistic Pet Massage Therapy

Pet Massage is much more than "rubbing" your dog. It assists your dog to a greater level of homeostasis (inner body awareness). As with human talk therapy each session is an opportunity to resolve more and deeper causes for chronic, current, and potential physical issues. Massage does the same types of things for animals that it does for humans: increases circulation, flexibility, and comfort; provides emotional calming; and improves body awareness, general health, and overall well-being. It can also restore enjoyment of touch to animals whose history include abuse or neglect; provide early detection of conditions requiring veterinary care, and increase bonding and trust between animals and their caretakers.

 

 

In-Home Pet Sitting / Home Sitting

In-home pet sitting for cats, dogs, birds and fish is available from 8:00 am to 8:00pm and may be done for an additional cost from 6pm-9am. This service includes a morning and evening neighborhood walk (dogs), kitty litter clean up (cats), paper changes for birds and bunnies, feeding and playtime. Our complimentary house sitting services with your pet sit includes plant watering, mail and newspaper pick-up, trash management, and rotating lights, all designed to give your house an over-all lived in look.

Pet Transportation / Food Delivery

Supervised transportation services to the vet, a friend's house, or airport, are provided in a padded and air-conditioned SUV. We also provide Kennel transportation, food and pet supply delivery. One- way or round trip service available.

Grooming

We offer a full range of services, including, bathing, skin condition- ing and hand blow - dry. We use only the finest all-natural shampoos and treatments. Additional services including hot oil treatments, medicated baths, dry skin treatments, cream rinses, flea and tick treatments, gland expression, teeth cleaning (non-sedative), brush-outs, and nail clipping. Rates depend on breed and coat condition. We can do a light groom in your home or bring your pet to one of our two Salons located in the Valley and in Hollywood.

Boarding

Boarding can be done on a case-by-case basis for potty trained, non-aggressive dogs. We pick up your pet, their bedding, food and treats, bring them to our pet-safe homes, and return them to you. Included is a daily journal, as well as all the other benefits as a traditional in-home pet sit.
